The Schepens Eye Research Institute has a 6-camera Smart Eye Pro system that is to be installed in their 180 degree driving simulator.
The Schepens Eye Research Institute is an affiliate of Harvard University. They make research on lowered vision and blindness by developing new technologies, therapies and knowledge to retain and restore vision and will use the simulator to improve the driving ability of drivers with lowered vision ability. Smart Eye Pro has been integrated with a FAAC driving simulator. Research is being conducted about vision impaired drivers.
