Eye Tracking is a useful tool in control room simulations.
Some examples of control room settings where Eye Tracking is used:
Normally, it is not an actual control room but rather a control room simulator. The simulator is used for research or training purposes, or evaluation of Human Machine Interface. Smart Eye Pro is used to evaluate the behavior of persons interacting with the simulator. Normally the simulator consists of several screens, up to 7-8, and a large projection surface in front of the screens. Normal analysis consists of the proportion of time spent on each screen, different Regions of Interest (ROI) on different screens, heat maps etc. Some references are :
