We’re thrilled to announce yet another significant milestone at Smart Eye. This week, we celebrated our second interior sensing design win, marking the fifth design win with the second OEM. Just a few weeks ago, we shared the exciting news of securing a deal with a prominent Korean OEM. Now, we’re excited to reveal that a prestigious European premium OEM has chosen to integrate interior sensing into their vehicles, alongside our existing driver monitoring technology. This expansion of offerings from an existing customer is a testament to our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
This achievement is particularly gratifying as it validates the vision behind the merger of Affectiva and Smart Eye back in 2021. The integration of Affectiva’s expertise in Emotion AI with Smart Eye’s advanced driver monitoring technology has paved the way for groundbreaking developments in interior sensing. Today, we see this vision coming to fruition as we witness the adoption of interior sensing technology by leading automotive manufacturers.
The journey to this milestone has been a collaborative effort, requiring dedication and perseverance. It took approximately a year to merge both the software stacks and integrate the teams. Since then, we’ve been actively advocating for the combination of cabin monitoring and driver monitoring to OEMs. Our efforts have been met with positive reception, reaffirming the value proposition of our integrated solution.
While we’ve known for some time that we had a compelling offering and solid traction in the market, finalizing agreements and sealing deals in the automotive industry is a process that requires patience and persistence.
